Ministries
Touching one life at a time
As we follow in the footsteps of Christ, our eyes are opened to the needs of our community and world. No project is too small. Christ reminds us in Matthew 25:40 (NIV): "Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." St. Francis of Assisi once said "Preach the gospel at all times and when necessary use words." We preach the gospel through the calling of the Holy Spirit. Listed below are some of the ongoing grass-root ministries at the church.
1. Prayer Ministries - led out by Lois O. and Celeste W. Several venues are available.
- Prayer Power Group - Every second and fourth Sabbath of the month at the church after service.
- Pre-Church Prayer Session - Every Sabbath morning from 8:30-9:30 am in the Sanctuary.
2. Weekly Prayer Meeting at the Showalter's family home - come joing the study group for fellowship, sharing, learning and praying for each other and other requests.
3. Weekly Prayer Meetings at Linda Atkinson's Home
4. Prayer TeleConference led by Haskell and Iris Edwards - 10 minutes before Sun down. Please Contact the Haskells for Conference phone number.
5. Angel Team - led out by Bill Noel - Angel Team is a community outreach ministry.
6. Web Ministry - led out by N. Smith - She is currently working with E. Hartone and M. Smith in updating pages. Additional assistance is very welcomed..
7. Women's Ministry - Jean. Quirante periodically leads out in Women's ministry outings at our church. She also welcomes ideas. Tawana Threkald is the Gulf States Conference Assistant Women's Ministry Director.

8. Adventurers - led out by Cathy Wildman . This ministry is for both kids from ages 3-9 and their parents. We have lots of fun!
9. Pathfinders - led out by Michael Showalter and a highly qualified team. This ministry is for kids from ages 10+ who enjoy camping and other activities. Join our award winning team.
10. Church Library - led out by Jean Hasse and Jean Quirante. We have a wide range of spiritual books and devotions for members to check out.
11. Sunshine Band - currently led out by N. Smith. We have visited quarterly Valley View Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Madison, Alabama.
12. Special Christmas Projects - led by members as Darlene Showalter for collecting toiletries for Women's Shelter and Christmas Wrapping at the Mall by Neelam Strom.
